My insurance agent gave me a list of numbers and Service Master respond to my call within a couple of hours and had someone at my house started on my flooded basement by midmorning. Everyone I spoke with throughout the process was professional and knew what they were doing.

Highly recommend this company! Tuesday afternoon, I came home on my lunch break and stepped into ankle deep water thanks to our water heater busting. We have a one story house on a slab and every single room in the house was flooded. Within a couple hours we had someone from ServiceMaster come out to our house to take a look and he was very nice. He left with the promise that he was going to get his guys out that night to start the cleanup process and he made good on that promise. Within 20-30 minutes of leaving our house, he called to let us know when his guys would be coming. They moved all of our stuff and hooked up so much equipment to help dry our house. I am grateful to these employees for how long they stayed at our house in order to get everything done. Thanks to the quick response on their part, our baseboards and drywall were saved. Thank you for making this terrible situation not so terrible!

What is Mold?

Mold is a microscopic fungus that can be found almost everywhere. They can be a variety of colors, but mostly black, white, orange, green, or purple. Mold is most common outdoors, where it breaks down old debris like dead leaves, plants, and trees. They do this by growing on moist surfaces and spreading through the air. No matter what, every day you will be exposed to mold. That usually isn’t a problem, but when they make their home inside your home, their spores can release themselves to other surfaces and grow quickly. If you inhale a lot of mold, you can have serious issues with your lungs and breathing. Some people are allergic to mold spores, in which case the need for mold remediation is of huge importance.

How does mold spread?

No matter what you do, mold will make its way into your house. Pets, clothes, hair, dirt, and items which have been outside can bring mold into your home. However, the mold spore will quickly die out unless it finds a suitably damp spot to hook into and make itself home. The most important thing to do is minimize it’s ability to spread by removing access its access to moisture.

Why is Mold a Problem?

Mold causes serious structural problems and respiratory issues. It may seem like a small issue, but if proper care isn’t taken it could quickly ruin your quality of life. The mold itself causes structural damage to many common household building materials, such as gypsum, drywall, plaster and concrete.

What’s worse is how mold affects fabrics. Curtains, bedding, and soft toys are of particular weakness to mold as they constantly absorb moisture from being around condensation and people. Most mold of this kind can be solved by machine washing the fabric, but even that is sometimes not enough.

Once mold has a hold on your home, it can exacerbate pre-existing issues and produce entirely new ones. Some of the most common symptoms include skin irritation, allergies, and headaches. This is of specific concern to asthma sufferers, as breathing in the spores can result in breathing difficulties which will worsen the symptoms.

Why You Need an Expert Mold Remediation Company in Lexington

When it comes to treating mold, the average person can begin to treat mold that’s under 10ft by 10ft in surface area. However, trying to treat mold without proper materials and without treating the moisture issues will make it impossible to truly remove the problem from your home.

Our expert mold remediation team will detect and destroy any mold in your home, including diagnosing potential future spots that mold might grow in. By catching potential issues early, we can completely remove mold from your home and ensure the safety of yourself and your family.

Our years of experience and specialist tools make light work of all mold types and infestations, so we can minimize the disruption to your home and life whilst we fix the problem. Let us handle it, and you can avoid putting yourself in danger by not using the correct equipment.

Our Process For Mold Removal

First, we use our mold detection techniques to find every spot harbouring mold in your home. Then, we start dehumidifying your house with our industrial dehumidifiers. Our machines are much stronger than your regular home model! What takes a domestic dehumidifier multiple days to draw out of the air takes our machines mere hours.

Once we have dried out the air and the surfaces which need cleaning, we use industrial strength cleaners to destroy not even the surface mold but the spores that have burrowed deep into the affected surface.

Thanks to our Lexington mold removal services, we’ve helped many clients regain their ability to sleep and enjoy their homes. Because we only serve the Lexington area, we can reach you much faster than our competitors so we can repair mold damage as soon as possible. Don’t hesitate to call us today!
